On Monday we talking about adding/updating some key pieces in your closet, and today we are switching gears and talking about some upcoming spring trends. I am sure as you have seen all over social media, one of this seasons biggest trends is an embellished sleeve. Bell sleeves, ruffled sleeves, deconstructed sleeves, the list goes on and on!
This is one trend that I have jumped on board with! I love the concept of taking a simple style that we have been wearing for many seasons and giving it a completely different look, by just changing up the sleeves. For example the top I am wearing in the post, is just a good ol’ fashion off the shoulder blouse, but by adding these embellished or statement sleeve the top becomes more feminine and it even has a romantic feel to it.
Top: Chicwish / Track Pant: Target (under $30) / Shoes: Sam Edelman, (older) Similar Here + Here / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Sunglasses: Draper James / Earrings: Target (only $10) / Lipstick: Mix of Kat Von D + Christian Louboutin
Now for the trouser or I like to call them track pants. Don’t be afraid of these, because friends… these are the MOST comfortable pants I have ever worn! haha! There is no easier way to spice up your work wardrobe than with a trouser. These sleek trousers will have everyone in your office talking!.. Might I add they are under $30! 🙂 I have already worn these track pants numerous times. One of my favorite ways to wear them is with a classic white button down top. I’ll do my best this season to not overwhelm you with all of the spring trends, but you know how I love a good trend! hah! So here is what I am thinking… As I start to add more post about trends, and staples, what do you think about giving me there own category to make it easier to find on the blog? Let me know what you think! Please write in the comments below!
One last lipstick note: Above where I have “mix of Kat Von D + Christian Louboutin” I wanted to make is a little more clear for you. I apply the Kat V Don all over my lips and let it dry, once it has dried then I apply a little bit of the Christian Louboutin on top. I like to mix these two colors when I am looking for a darker red!
