Vertical vs. Horizontal Stripes. Now this one is hard because I love all forms of stripes, but if you can snag an item that has vertical stripes vs horizontal stripes… buy it in every color! haha! Vertical stripes are a great and easy way to length your body. Now don’t get me wrong, I still wear horizontal stripes. haha! I love them to much.

2. Avoid knee length pieces. Try and steer clear of  items that hit right at your knees. Always go for pieces that hit above the knee or below knee.

3.  Wrap dress vs. Shirt (tunic) dress. I will be the first to admit I love a good t-shirt dress, they are the most comfortable thing! However I also know they aren’t flattering on. It’s just one of those style I try an avoid… for the most part. A wrap dress will give/show off your waist!

4. Remember monochromatic looks are always a good idea for short girls! They help to create the illusion of long lines on your body.

5. Of course wearing some kind of heel is always a good idea when your area a shorty short. Although I don’t wear heels often I use a different method. When I can, I show off my ankle. Why? Well it’s the slimmest part or your leg. Showing off your ankle helps to keep you from looking like you are drowning in fabric. If you do wear an item that covers up your ankle go back to thinking monochromatic. This will help to create a longer space between your waist and toes!
